Garlic Prawns – Desi Style

I made Garlic Prawns for the first time ever. I don’t really cook at home and this blog post is about another recipe of my Mum’s I am cooking for the first time. On the very rare chance I get told to my Prawns, I just make prawn curry with a thick masala base. However, for you wonderful readers I tried to make Garlic Prawns with a Desi tweak.

This recipe is actually quite simple. Before I start on the actual review I thought I would explain Garlic Prawns a little bit. So after a little research, I found out that Garlic Prawns is a Spanish dish. The original dish contains primarily garlic, prawn/shrimp and olive oil. Drizzle of lemon juice and sprinkle an of paprika. Bam an awesome and delicious dish.

Now to make this dish, you simply just toss onion and garlic in oil and then add prawns and cook it off. Now for the Desi style. I added a little spice. I cooked off the spice in the oil and towards the end, I sprinkled some spring onion fresh from my Mum’s garden.

I should have peeled off the shell. I just took off the head and removed the guts and all. I don’t know. This dish is really easy to make. Mum kindly make some Indian bread. My Indian bread doesn’t turn out the proper circle or square shape so I just don’t bother.
