Everyone is beautiful just the way they are and you don’t need to reduce your acne. People will always find a way to bring their peers down to make them feel better. Normally these people have problems with themselves that they push on to others. However, do what makes you feel better. If it will make you feel better to reduce your acne then do it. Do what works for you.
I have always had acne and I still do to this date. However, with a few changes, I have managed to clear up my acne quite a lot; all that is left is just a few spots and a bunch of rashes. Ever since I can remember I have been a really unhealthy person and I still am but I am in a much better place than before. I do occasionally have the odd junk food here and there but it is about balancing these unhealthy foods not to cancel it out. The aim of this post is to share what I did to reduce my acne. I hope this works for you as well.
Water is literally the best thing in the world. The cells of the human body require water to function. More importantly, the skin cells also use water to ‘self-moisturize’. Drinking lots of water also help your body to flush out the toxins. Also the extra bonus of making your skin look plump and fresh. If you don’t like how water is taste, you can easily infuse water with strawberries, lemons, oranges, and nearly everything to make it taste better.
As I said in one of my previous posts: My Top 3 Face Masks, aloe vera has helped my blemishes and rashes quite a lot. I use aloe vera to help with blemishes mainly but there are the bonuses of soothing and moisturizing my skin. With this face mask post, I was focusing on face masks that make the skin look fresh and plump not thinking about acne at all. However, looking back to before aloe vera life, aloe vera has helped with my acne quite a bit. I realize that aloe vera not only soothes my rashes but my acne as well. I did a quick research and I found out that aloe vera gel has antibacterial properties that help with acne reduction.
I have changed my diet recently and I am noticing my acne reduce dramatically. Just after my final exams, so mid-November 2018, I have been making these small changes that have in fact lead to my acne reducing. Slowly reducing sugar intake, and basically, all junk foods have reduced my acne quite a bit. Also at the start of last year, I completely cut out milk and turned to soy milk. I notice a dramatic difference in my skin.
Before I continue with this part of the blog post, I just wanted to say that this is what worked for me. Everyone has their skin types and everyone has different situations in terms of acne and there are different ways to overcome them. This is the skin routine that I used morning and night and it worked for me. Using a gentle fash washed and toner I washed my face and apply toner. I use a toner to level the pH levels of my sensitive skin. Then shortly after I moisturize with aloe vera then a face cream; I use one with some SPF+ for sun protection for morning and during the day. I have noticed that the days that I forget a step or the days that I am just too lazy, my skin changes and I get a few new acne spots.
These are the four main things that I did: drank more water, religiously used aloe vera, fixed up my diet slowly and changed and kind of stuck to a skincare routine. I hope what I did helps you too. Results may vary from person to person, but you just need to find what works for you and stick to it. I have been doing these four things for just over a month and the results have been amazing for me.
