Travelling tips | How to Pack A Cosmetic bag

I have unpacked my luggage bag from a wedding in March. I thought why not make a Travelling Tips series containing tips and tricks that I follow or either have figured out over the years of travelling that I have done. These can be used whether you are going overseas, within the country you live in or just down the road to your best friend.

I first started with makeup and now I going to do cosmetics. The 4 tips below are what I do every time I travel and have to pack.

1 – Make a List

Just like I do with my makeup bag, I make a list of everything I do and all the applicators required for all the product I use. This simply helps me visualise what I need to pack

2 – Reduce as Much as Possible

When travelling, I cut out the extra steps I take in my skincare regime. For instance, my eye cream that literally does nothing or exfoliator that I literally use once a lifetime. I basically cut out anything can I can survive without for the trip. If it is a small trip then I simply take face wash, moisturiser and my toner but if it a longer trip then I pack more than just 3 steps, for instance.

I have a blog post regarding my skincare regime if you are interested in what exactly I do, click the link below if you would like to have a read of that post 🙂 .

3 – Choose a Good Cosmetic Bag

Just like the makeup bag, you need to find a bag that contains all the little pockets for the knick-knacks you have. This is actually harder then it sounds. However, you can buy 2 or 3 smaller bags to help group your cosmetics. I use smaller bags: 1 for my products, one for my applicators and one for my toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush/comb and extra stuff.

4 – Use Clothes as Cushioning

I always pack my cosmetic bag within my clothes just so that I reduce the chance of my bottles breaking or something along those lines.

I use these 4 small tips every single time I travel. Whether I going overseas, to my cousins’ house or simply pack for an overnight stay. I hope these tips help you out just as much as they help me out.
