Yesterday for me was just a bad day in terms of my studies. I just was so tired physically, mentally and emotionally. I mean I had about 4 hours of sleep on Monday night and another 3 hours on Tuesday night so that a total of 7 hours over 2 days. I had so much caffeine in my system that I started to get chest pains and that I was tired but so wide awake. I reach a stage of exhaustion where you have no control over your mood: sometimes you are tired, sometimes you are really sleepy and sometimes you are really happy. It was not fun at all. I did these things below to help out and today I feel sooooooo goooooodddd. I wrong this post yesterday and it reminded myself that everything is going to be ok and that it is simply one “bad” word (day) in my book (life).
Dress Opposite to the Way You Feel
Even though sweats might be super tempting, dress up. Wear your favorite pair of jeans, or dress or your cutest pair of shoes. Sweatpants and such will just make you feel even more blah and unfocused throughout the day.
Yesterday I wore a top from a few years ago (rare since I am a different size) and a pair of my favourite jeans. This made me feel amazing especially since I was at a library with no makeup (I don’t wear makeup every day anymore). I normally wear leggings and loose fitted tops and jumpers to hide, yesterday I wore a more fitted outfit, made a difference to me 🙂 .
This might seem like an odd idea but moisturizing and going into school glowy and soft definitely helps me feel more comfortable and less ugh during the school day. It helps to keep me comfortable in my skin. Having my lip balm on, hand scream and my eczema rashes moisturized while drinking a heap of water, just keeps me feeling slightly better and refreshed to tackle my day.
Plan Your Day
Plan what you would like to do for the day and what time and approximately how long and where and with who. I like to plan my day so that I have some time to myself then I have some time with people who make me laugh. Planning your day also helps by eliminating some stress; for me at least.
Don’t Ignore your Work
Sometimes just tackling the mountain of school work makes me feel amazing with a sense of accomplishment. Start from the little things here and there then section the big things and bam you will be done before you even know it Once you are you will, just power through.

Get Some Sleep
I kid you not, I literally slept for an hour or so in my car the uni carpark before I attending my chemistry laboratory class. I had soooooooooo much energy that my lab demonstrator literally asked if I was high or something because of the fact that I was so energetic and happy compared to the usual sleep-deprived Diana every one is used to. Actually getting sleep makes the biggest difference. Last night I got almost 10 hours of sleep and I feel amazing. Save to say that today is definitely not a bad day.
I hope these tips and trick help you out just as much as it did to me yesterday and literally every day. Not only do these tips and tricks help out during bad days but they help out every day. I generally follow these tips and tricks just to make every day as good as possible. We only have one life after all so let’s make the most of it.
